Wed 09/07/2016 10:08 am Advisory: There have been two approximately 10 minute periods in the last 24 hours where Enterprise File Services has experienced degraded performance. We’re seeing spikes in the number of active connections during these times that are putting the storage (Isilon) under load and affecting performance for Blackboard and Apache Web Hosting (WH) among other applications. We are working to track down where these connections are coming from and have opened a case with our vendor.
The two connection spikes we have experienced have both occurred around 10 AM, but we have no reason to believe that they will be restricted to that time, as we do not yet know the source. If your application or users experience timeouts connecting to Enterprise File Services, please report those to CSG Storage through the DoIT Ops line 771-DOIT.
