Phishing Attempt Hits S&T Email

A Phishing email was circulated on the Missouri S&T Campus on Tuesday July 18, 2017.  The email subject line contained “ITS Alert” and the body of the email contained “Hello, Kindly verify your Missouri S&T email to avoid been blocked for sending and receiving new emails…”.  Do not respond.  Please delete the email as this phishing attempt has been report to IT Security.

All students, faculty, and staff are reminded to exercise a healthy skepticism when receiving suspicious emails and follow the proper process to report spam and phishing attempts:

IT thanks the many S&T students, faculty, and staff who properly reported the phishing attack and did not click the link or enter their information.
