Phishing Attempt Hits S&T

A Phishing email was circulated on the Missouri S&T Campus on Tuesday, May 5, 2020.  The email subject line contained “Notice From Faculty of ITS Admin” and the body of the email contained “Your mailbox storage has reached 95% on the email server”.  Do not respond.  Please delete the email as this phishing attempt has been reported to IT Security.

All students, faculty, and staff are reminded to exercise a healthy skepticism when receiving suspicious emails and follow the proper process to report spam and phishing attempts:

IT thanks the many S&T students, faculty, and staff who properly reported the phishing attack and did not click the link or enter their information.
