A Phishing email was circulated on the Missouri S&T Campus on Wednesday April 5, 2017. The email subject line contained “✔ (XXX@mst.edu)YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT HAVE BEEN BLACKLISTED(DO NOT IGNORE)” and the body of the email contained “Dear Staff !,We received a requested on Wednesday 05, April ,2017 08.35 AM to deactivate your (XXX@mst.edu) email account…”. Do not respond. Please delete the email as this phishing attempt has been report to IT Security.
All students, faculty, and staff are reminded to exercise a healthy skepticism when receiving suspicious emails and follow the proper process to report spam and phishing attempts:
