Secure Authentication Toolkit & 2 Factor Authentication

In October 2016 we first announced the enhanced security initiative to protect your University accounts and data.

S&T along with other UM campuses, will be implementing new security tools to improve password security.  These new tools will reduce the risk of data becoming compromised should someone learn your university password.   Over the next year, key University systems such as myHR will eventually require the use of these tools to gain access.

On March 11, 2017 the password change function will use this new system.  In order to change your password you will need to be registered in the new Secure Authentication System.  Having current identity information in place is a pre-requisite to enabling multi-factor authentication.
