S&T IT is aware of and working on reported issues for some Windows computers after the auto-install updates from Microsoft that were provided to our campus this past weekend seem to have failed. The failure can look like a computer that is just restarting over and over (aka: rebooting), a blue error screen, or the computer powering back off just after being powered on.
We are actively working on computers that have been reported. At this point in time, some of the investigation is requiring IT technicians to physically take the computer for diagnostics and repair.
All auto-updates to Windows computers have been stopped until a solution is found or provided from Microsoft via the open case we have entered with them regarding this issue.
