IT encourages faculty and staff to regularly back-up your data using one of the storage locations available for you. Two options approved and recommended by IT are OneDrive and an encrypted external USB drive. Both options meet the requirements of all DCL levels (DCL1-4). By using One-Drive, your data is stored in the cloud and can be easily accessed across multiple machines. An encrypted external drive offers similar data security without synchronization to a cloud service.
More information on OneDrive can be found here: What is one drive and how do I use it.
If you need assistance with OneDrive or selecting an external encrypted drive, please submit a ticket at help.mst.edu.
