What is Happening?

Adobe is discontinuing their Creative Cloud Synced files feature on October 1, 2024. Creative Cloud has enabled subscribers to save files on their local devices in a folder called Creative Cloud Files. The Creative Cloud Files folder can be synced (copied) to the subscriber’s cloud storage from their local device. Files can be accessed locally on the device in the Creative Cloud Files folder or through the Creative Cloud website within the Launch more menu (Synced files option).

Who at Missouri S&T is Impacted?

Any member of the Missouri S&T campus who has subscribed to Adobe Creative Cloud via Missouri S&T’s Enterprise license and who has used Creative Cloud Files to synchronize files between devices or shared files with members of their team will be affected.

When Will This Happen?

Adobe has stated that they will remove the Creative Cloud Synced files feature October 1, 2024.

What Actions Are Required?

Adobe recommends that all subscribers who use the Creative Cloud Synced files feature sign into their Adobe accounts and sync the latest version of their assets before October 1, 2024 to obtain the latest copy of their Creative Cloud Files. It is recommended that you copy your files to an approved UM System cloud service, such as OneDrive, to ensure that you retain a copy of your files. After October 1, 2024, files will only be available in the local folder on your devices. Sharing links will no longer work.
